So happy I got to have a session with this beautiful family! We took photos in Colleen & Matt's South Philly home while being watched by two beautiful kitties. Welcome to the world Patrick!
Our schedules worked out so we ended up having our session at 7am on a Sunday with temps bellow freezing! These two were such good sports despite it being really cold. We started out in Fairmount Park, visited their apartment to warm up and then explored the neighborhood.
Erin & Andrzej explored the city with me on a really cold day! We had fun sipping coffee at La Colombe, checking out cool stuff at Jinxed Fishtown, stopped in Old City and at Schuylkill River Park. Excited for their wedding in October!
Kaitlyn and Spencer had a lovely brunch wedding at The Powell House. Afterwards we took portraits around Washington Square and Temple University. Here's some of the photos I caught on film!
Took some photos of my friend Joy's family at the Garret Williamson Foundation and Ridley Creek State Park. It was super chilly and windy but glad these folks were willing to walk around with their cute pups for some photos.
Kelly and Mitch opted for photos on 35mm in addition to my standard digital coverage. Their beautiful day at Ash Mill Farms was a great chance to shoot some film. Thanks Indie Photo Lab for these beautiful scans and prints and Cheryl Ann Floral Design for amazing splashes of color. Hair and makeup from Cheers2UEvents, music by Stealing Savannah and coordination from Events by Merida!
I can't believe how dreamy Bernadette & Marc's October wedding was. They chose to have their celebration at The Washington at Historic Yellow Springs, a lovely venue in Chester Springs, PA. I can't believe how perfect the weather and warm sunlight was. Bernadette is a really talented floral designer and made all of her flower arrangements herself. Her makeup was by Elise Dee and her dress from BHLDN. They got their unique paper moon for their photobooth from Paper Moone Shoppe on Etsy. Catering by Perfect Setting. Feeling so lucky to have gotten to be a part of this beautiful day!
Had such a lovely time celebrating Emily and Nick's wedding this September! We did a first look on the 33rd floor of the Lowes Hotel bringing us close to the skyscrapers, then headed to Saint John's for the ceremony, portraits all around the city and a reception at Richmond Hall.
Happy to have gotten to spend a balmy September afternoon with Kelly and Mitch in Wissahickon. Looking forward to their wedding later this month!!
Samantha and Geoff had a joy filled day at the MoCA Mass modern art museum. The couple celebrated their love with a unique event in and around the galleries and dancing with ice cream sandwiches.
Spent a beautiful summer evening in Fairmount Park with some dear friends. Kaitlyn and Spencer met in a running club at Temple University that Kaitlyn founded. Cannot wait for their November wedding.
Rachel and Jason were married at the super cute Sage Farmhouse in Media.
Took some photos around South Philly to celebrate Juliet's graduation!
Got to take some pics of the incredibly talented Tash Sultana at The World Cafe on her USA tour! Tash makes loops using multiple instruments, her performance is absolutely animated and it was amazing seeing just one person make so much noise on the stage!
Sujin and Jinsoo got married during a huge rain storm so we canceled our art museum portraot plans to spend the afternoon in 30th Street Station before their ceremony.
Esther and Sungwook were married at Emmanuel Presbyterian Church in West Philly. The two celebrated with their church community, family and friends around the holidays.
Global warming led to Anita and Andrew's late November wedding being one of the most balmy, beautiful days of the season. The two tied the knot at Colonial Dames in Center City, featuring lots of personal touches like succulents as party favors for all their guests and an arch adorned with flowers built by their friends. Thanks to Michael Ash for having me as a second shooter.
Emily and Nick celebrated their love with craft beers and a bicycle built for two on a crisp fall day in November.
Got to spend a lovely fall day with Amanda and Keith at Rose Tree park and downtown Media. Excited for their wedding this September!
I had so much fun with Esther and Sungwook during their West Philadelphia engagement shoot. We had a perfect October day to visit Bartram's Gardens.
Mia & Peter's wedding was SUCH A BLAST this past October. They started at Homewood Suites Philadelphia - City Avenue with makeup Jenaya Allman and beautiful flowers from Naomi's Florist. The party was at Manayunk Brewery and Restaurant with music from DJ "Smooth Productions" Steve. Thanks Alex Udowenko for second shooting :)
Andrea and Joe had a really fun celebration at Circle of Hope in Camden. We did a few portraits on the Ben Franklin bridge and highlights of the night included the bridesmaids icing the groomsmen and the couple crowdsurfing with confetti at the end of the night. Thanks Rachel Del Sordo for bringing me along as a second shooter!
I had such a beautiful morning at Longwood Gardens with Rachel and Jason! Longwood is where they got engaged last winter and has been a special place for them throughout their relationship. We went first thing on Saturday morning and had the whole place to ourselves for a good 40 minutes.
Annika and Adam had a beautiful wedding at The Barn at Ridgeland in Fairmount Park. The venue was so perfect-- it was a treat to photograph at a spot that was so green and secluded while still being in Philadelphia. Adam lent me his special camera, a Pentax 6x7 to take a few film pics which are at the bottom of this post!
I got to spend a lovely afternoon shooting with Alexis and Mike at the Navy Yard. Can't get over how adorable their pup is. Can't wait for their Ocean City NJ. wedding this September!
Colleen and Erik were married at the Philadelphia Wedding Chapel on May 13, 2016. After the ceremony we got to pop over to the Wissahickon trail right at Ridge Ave. for a couple photos, just a five minute drive from Sherman Mills. I totally recommend checking out the surrounding area to couples celebrating their marriage at PWC and am thankful that Colleen and Erik were down to explore a little bit.
