how would you describe your style? I am trained in photojournalism and I aim to capture natural, spontaneous moments of joy and beauty throughout day.  I like to be  as unobtrusive as possible, but  I voice gentle directions when necessary. Your final set of photos will include both color and black and white images.

what packages do you offer? My packages currently start at $2,000 for me for eight hours. I offer packages that include a second photographer and images shot on film. Send me an email for a price sheet and more information!

what is required to book you? I ask for 50% at the time our contract is signed and 50% on your wedding day. Checks work best for me, but if you prefer Paypal or Square I do accept these with a 3% transaction fee.

should we do an engagement shoot? Your engagement is a life-changing event. Choosing to commemorate it with photographs gives you a collection of portraits that you can carry through the rest of your life remembering why you fell in love. You’ll  have professional pictures to send out to use to announce your partnership. Posing with your fiance is good practice for your portrait session on your wedding day. You’ll have a chance to see me and my work and decide if you’d like me on board for your wedding. It’s more casual and less stressful than your wedding and lets you style your favorite every-day clothes instead of formal attire. We can shoot at locations that are significant to you and your relationship. Engagements are $350 for two-hour sessions in the Philadelphia Area and are available at a discounted rate if you book me for your wedding at the same time. I may ask for travel compensation for shoots further away from my home.

we want you as our photographer but we haven’t decided on having a second shooter or an album yet. Can we give you our deposit and then decide about the second shooter and album later? If you have your wedding and decide afterwards you’d like me to do an album we can totally add that on! Unfortunately, I need to know if you need if you’re hiring a second shooter at the time of signing so I can be sure to have enough time to book someone who’s photos we'll be really happy with.

how many images should we expect and can we print our photos?I guarantee 800 print-quality images for those who book me for at least eight hours.  I like to give you lots of options. I shoot in color but as I mix in some black and white images in your final edit. I transfer them on Dropbox and you’ll be able to download them all as high-quality .jpegs. I'll host the images on my dropbox for up to two months after they're delivered. After that you're responsible for downloading and backing them up. I don’t offer prints.

what albums do you offer? My albums are $350 for an 8x8 30 page book with a photo on the cover and pages that lay flat so there's no awkward wrinkles in the seams of the book. It's $500 for an 8x11 book with a linen or leather cover and 60 pages, $550 for an 11x13 60 page book with a photo cover and pages that lay flat. I’ll send you a digital copy once before I get it printed so you’ll have a chance to give me any feedback or add any photos you’d like included. You can expect the first draft digitally two months after your wedding and the final product five months after your wedding. Prices may vary depending on how many pages your book is.

what’s your turnaround time? I’ll deliver the digital photos before you’ve been married for six weeks.

do you photograph stuff besides weddings? Absolutely! I’ll shoot your concert, promotional photos, band photos, portraits, award ceremonies, birthday parties, pets, photo documentaries. Some of my non-wedding work is on my personal Instagram.

who are your second shooters? All of my second shooters are talented photographers that I'm constantly inspired by. I totally recommend having one at your wedding! I can only be in once place at once so working with a second shooter makes it possible to capture both of you getting ready plus different angles and perspectives throughout the day. In addition to being all-star photographers they are personable and fun to have around.

do you shoot outside of the Philadelphia Area? Yes! I’m down to travel anywhere for a wedding or a shoot. Email me and we’ll figure something out.

what can I do to make sure my pictures come out great? The best thing that you can do to ensure that you love your photos is… be happy in them! The more you can wear the joy of marrying your best friend on your face the better your photos will be. Tell each other funny inside jokes, make each other laugh and focus on your love. In order to free yourselves up to do that, though, I recommend planning your wedding down to all the small details and have everything set in place in the weeks before the wedding so that when the actual day comes you can stick to the schedule of enjoying yourselves without stressing about little things.

how can we shape the schedule of our day to get the best photos? Give yourself more time for everything than you think you’ll need because surprises happen often. The more realistic your schedule is the less stress you’ll experience on your wedding day and the more fun you’ll have. It’s preferable if you’re willing to see each other before the ceremony to do your portrait session at that time. Once your guests see you it’s harder to have private moments while juggling hosting a party and accepting dozens of congratulations. Portrait sessions before the ceremony give you a chance to quietly focus on the love of your life before you get married without feeling rushed. I'd also love to steal you away from your guests for a few moments before sunset to capture you illuminated by late-afternoon light.

do you offer video? Yes! Email me for more details.
